Launching a Silo is a very simple and fast process. After selecting your strategy from the "Launch a Silo" page, select your desired settings in the "Silo Parameters" section and click the Launch button. The available settings may slightly vary for each strategy but all strategies share 3 common settings.
This is a unique name you can give the Silo for identification purposes.
This is the schedule used to perform the strategy's main task (such as harvesting rewards). There are two schedule types available:
Automatic -Performed automatically based on the default settings found in "Advanced Settings". These settings can be modified at any time.
Timed - A fixed time based schedule with options from 1 hour to 1 month.
You can decide how you want the Silo to handle any tokens acquired from the Silo's main task (such as harvested rewards). The 4 most common actions are:
Compound - Rewards are retained in the Silo and re-invested into the strategy.
Retain in Silo - Tokens simply remain in the Silo and can be withdrawn as you choose.
Send to Address - Tokens are sent to any Polygon address you set.
Send to Silo - Send directly to another Silo.
Send to Silo Manager - Sends LINK to your Silo Manager to be used for auto top-ups.
When sending tokens to another Silo, if the receiving Silo can't accept the token natively, it is converted to wETH prior to sending. All Silos allow wETH deposits which makes sending assets between all Silos fully compatible.
All Silos have an Advanced Settings section where users have access to some additional Silo settings. Modifying these settings can allow you to further optimise your Silo's performance based on your own personal strategy and investment goals.
In general the default values have been set for an average user and do not need to be changed unless you choose to.
Advanced settings are only available once the Silo is deployed.
