# Getting Setup

To allow MetaMask to interact with Polygon, you need to first configure the Polygon network settings in MetaMask. Please follow these steps:

1. Click on Settings in MetaMask
2. Click on Networks
3. Click on Add Network
4. Add the following settings:

### Polygon RPC values: 

Network Name: Matic Mainnet \
New RPC URL: <https://polygon-rpc.com/\\>
Chain ID: 137

Currency Symbol (optional): Matic\
MATIC Block Explorer URL: <https://polygonscan.com/>

Fully compatible with both the inbuilt dApp browser and the WalletConnect connection (scanning QR code). You are still required to configure the custom network (RPC) by going to **Settings > Networks > Add Network**.
